Outfit at IP Beja – sharing experience with soon to be IT professionals

 In Events, News

We had the pleasure of being invited to participate in the “Dia da Informática” – organized by ESTIG – a branch of IP Beja.

It was a pleasure seeing familiar faces once again, since we have kept close relations with this institute for a while now – remember our OutSystems workshop?

This time, it was all about the senior year students – about to enter the job market an become IT professionals themselves.

Our Pre-Sales Manager Ricardo Real provided an insight of what it´s like working with the OutSystems technology, and the Outfit – Tailored Agile Solutions team – showcasing several of our most innovative solutions, in areas that range from IoT to banking and insurance, aeronautics and the healthcare sector.

Our consultant Diogo Silva – a former student of this university – also conducted a presentation, this time about his own personal experience in the job market and the last two years working at Outfit, in a number of both challenging and rewarding projects.

These presentations were geared towards showing these students first-hand experience of the inner workings of a top-level expert services company – letting them know what lies ahead in terms of professional challenges, personal growth and what type of skills and traits they should foster to triumph in the highly competitive IT market.

There was still room for a debate with representatives of the companies present at this event, with ample participation from the audience – the broad topic being “What type of qualities and skills do companies look for, in an IT / engineering graduate about to enter the job market?”

Ricardo Real once again picked up the torch and answered several of the audience´s questions on behalf of Outfit – Tailored Agile Solutions.

Our thanks to IP Beja, for extending the invitation – we hope our participation helped clear some doubts in the minds of these soon to be colleagues in the IT business field, and to our consultants Ricardo Real and Diogo Silva for their excellent presentations.

Cheers !!
